Located on the shore of Lake Yamanaka, The Club Wyndham Sundance Resort Yamanakako is a beautiful villa-styled property located at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Lake Yamanakako is the largest of the Fuji Five Lakes with small towns at its western and eastern ends. Other than enjoying a view of Mt. Fuji, there are plenty of outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking and water activities. Lake Yamanaka is unofficially known as “Swan Lake” around the village of Yamanakako, which completely surrounds the lake. It has some resort facilities (boating, fishing, dining, camping), and it’s also a prime habitat for birdwatchers — particularly those looking to see the native swans. The annual mean temperature is 10°C, with an average temperature of 22°C in summer & an average temperature of -2°C in winter. Snow falls three to four times during the winter season.
IMPORTANT: All rooms have private bathrooms and western style beds. There is no onsen (mineral hot spring) at this resort.

**MAINTENANCE: The Resort will be undergoing maintenance between the dates of 9-11 May 2023, during these periods the resort will be closed and no reservations will be accepted.**
Mandatory Sundance Resort Club Surcharge (can be paid by cash or credit card):
- JPY 800 per adult & JPY 300 per child ( 6-12 years old) per night for the 1st & 2nd night
- JPY 560 per adult & JPY 210 per child ( 6-12 years old) per night from the 3rd night onwards
**JAPAN ON REQUEST ROOMS: All confirmed bookings for “Request Only Rooms” will not appear on the online account history. Please contact Member Services if booking needs to be cancelled or amended.**
- Language: There are no English speaking staff at this resort.
- Bathing: All rooms have a private bathroom. This resort does not have an onsen.
- Shoe Free Apartments: Guests must remove their shoes at the entrance of the rooms.
- Bedding: All beds at this resort are Western style twin and sofa bed – no futons

Resort Information
- Management: Not managed by Wyndham. Privileges benefits do not apply.
- Check in: Check-in: 3:00pm & Check-out: 11.00 am. Must advise if arriving and checking-in after 6:00pm, reception closes at 8:00pm. After hours check in available with prior notice, please contact resort directly to arrange.
- Accessibility: Resort has 2 floors and there are no elevators. All rooms have internal stairs.
- Laundry: Communal laundry facilities – charges apply.
- Wi-Fi: Free WiFi is available at this resort
- Rollaway Beds/Cots/Highchairs: Not available at this resort
- Dining: No dining area but breakfast can be served in the guest’s room from 8:00am to 9:30am but must be booked by 8:00pm the previous night. Dinner can be served in the guest’s room from 6:00pm to 7:30pm but must be booked by 12:00pm the previous day.
- BBQ Hire: BBQ hire for up to 5 people available for JPY 2,200 including GST but must be booked ahead. Not available in bad weather or during winter.
- Snow Chains: If driving there in winter, then would strongly recommend using snowchains and / or studless snow tyres.
- Parking: Free outdoor spaces onsite – reservation not required.
- Pet Friendly: This resort has some pet friendly rooms. Please refer to the room description for details of whether your room is a pet friendly room, and if you have allergy concerns consider a room that has not had pets previously. As a pet friendly resort, please be aware that you may encounter pets on the property.
General
To make the most of the surrounding area, a car with an English-speaking GPS is recommended and an international licence is highly encouraged. Discounted car rental rates are available through Travel by Wyndham. Please call 1300 850 160.
Credit card payments relating to Fun Time, Bonus Time and One Time Credits bookings will incur a credit card service fee of 1.5%, in addition to the amount payable.
