Check-in begins at 3pm, while check-out is at 10am.

What food options are available at this ski resort?

Please note that due to the resort’s remote location, the nearest external food establishments are approximately 40 minutes’ drive away, and there are no cooking facilities in the rooms. Thus, a mandatory fee for breakfast and dinner (F&B fee) will apply to all stays for guests aged 13 and above (children 12 and under eat free). This ensures that our guests have access to good meals without needing to drive off–site. 
 
This F&B fee is payable per person, per night, and can be paid in cash or membership credits. Meals can be a Japanese set menu from the traditional Japanese restaurant, or pizza from the on-site bar.  

What is the policy on cancellations and meal plans? 

If you prepaid the meal plan using membership credits and decide to cancel your stay at this ski resort, you must also cancel your pre-booked meal plan to avoid charges. 

Are laundry facilities available?

Yes, communal laundry facilities are available on-site for guest use, and charges will apply.

Due to the remote location of the resort and the relatively few dining options available, a mandatory fee for breakfast and dinner is payable for all stays at this resort (“F&B Fee”). The F&B Fee is calculated on a per person, per night basis for all guests 13 years of over (children 12 and under eat free) and is payable in addition to the credits required for the accommodation. • Skiing and snowboarding: At Shiga-Kogen, over 80 km of trails await. From powder descents to gentle slopes, this is mountain freedom at its best.

• Onsen and sauna: After your mountain adventures or hikes, unwind in the onsen (hot-spring baths) or sauna. They work wonders to soothe tired muscles, and leave you ready for the next day’s adventures.  

• Wildlife and scenic hikes: During warmer months, the Shiga-Kogen ski resort becomes a gateway to the Joshin’etsu Kogen National Park. The scenic woodland trails and volcanic formations is a must-visit for hikers.  

• Venture out to explore cultural gems like: 

Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park – A famous natural park where wild macaques bathe blissfully in natural hot springs, a truly iconic scene that must be seen! 

Zenko‑ji Temple – This is one of the oldest and revered temples in Japan, offering visitors peaceful reflection.

Narai Juku – A picturesque samurai-era town where traditional wooden buildings and historic streets offer a glimpse into Japan’s past.
