Fingal Bay

A charming village surrounded by the Tomaree National Park. Fingal Bay Beach is a stunning beach perfect for swimming and snorkelling.

Quad Bike Tour

Get your heart racing with a thrilling ride on the back of a quad bike as part of a guided quad biking tour. Ride on quad bikes from the bush to the beach, traversing magnificent sand dunes and learning about Aboriginal culture in the Worimi Conservation Lands.

No experience necessary; and children, aged seven to 13 years old, are welcome to share in the quad bike experience by riding the sand dunes safely on one of Sand Dunes Adventures 90cc Quads.

Sandboarding

Sand Dune Safaris offer a number of Adventure Tours on the largest moving sand dunes in the Southern Hemisphere! Ride in the comfortable 21 seat 4WD Coaster Bus or seven seat Land Cruiser.

The Sand Boarding Adventure runs every weekend and during school holidays for the ultimate in thrills! On our shuttle tour you will travel across the sand hills, driving up and down some very large dunes, to the Sandboarding area (shade and chairs provided). The tours are designed for the whole family and are suitable for all ages!

The dune features many different sized slopes to suit all ages. Awesome family fun! They provide boards, and one of the friendly instructors will instruct on the safe use of the boards in both sitting down and stand up styles.

The landscape is magnificent, so don’t forget your camera. It operates a shuttle bus service every 15-20 minutes, so stay and play as long as you like, and simply hop on the next bus when you are finished!

Fighter World

Explore the proud history of fighter aircraft operations in the Royal Australian Air Force at Fighter World. Located adjacent to the entrance to RAAF Base Williamtown at Newcastle Airport, Fighter World is a totally ‘hands on’ experience. Exhibited in two hangars, visitors can walk-around, touch and look into the cockpits of such famous aircraft as the Mirage III, the Avon Sabre, the Gloster Meteor, the first Vampire jet built in Australia and new in 2013 the mighty F-111. There is a Russian designed MiG-21 jet fighter, Hawker Hunter, WWII Spitfire replica, a Messerschmitt replica and much more.

Fighter World also offers the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of a Mirage interceptor and Macchi jet trainer and experience first-hand what it’s like to be one of Australia’s ‘Top Gun’ pilots in today’s hi-tech world.

Toboggan Hill Park

Toboggan Hill Park is set amongst natural bushland, just off Salamander Way at Nelson Bay, and offers a variety of exciting activities for all ages and abilities. The Park’s main attraction is a one kilometre toboggan track which gently weaves through wildflowers and native landscape. The park also offers a bushland mini golf course, an indoor Rock Climbing wall, ‘hot’ Ice Skating Rink, Splash-Down water play, plaster painting, interpretive tractor/train ride, huge outdoor maze, jumping castle, remote controlled activities and arcade games.

This is a MUST DO adventure activity during your stay in Port Stephens!
