Overview

Nasu is a town in Japan’s Tochigi region, northeast of Tokyo. It sits at the foot of Mount Nasu, a group of volcanoes in the Nikkō National Park featuring hiking trails and a pedestrian suspension bridge with forest views. The town is known for Nasu Imperial Villa and Nasu Onsen, its natural hot springs in the Nasu Kōgen highlands. Nasu has a warm & temperate climate but receives a lot of rain throughout the year. Due to the altitude the annual mean temperature is 11°C, with an average maximum of 24°C in summer & an average minimum of -1°C in winter.
