Things To See and Do
Named after the nationwide protest May Fourth Movement that started in Qingdao, the square is located in Qingdao’s central business district, is composed of Shizheng Ting Square, the central square and the coastal park and is best recognized by the striking “May Wind” sculpture.
Facing the Yellow Sea, Mt. Laoshan or Mount Lao is located to the east of Qingdao. This tall and majestic mountain is famous for its marvelous mountainous scenery and coastal landscape. It is regarded as the most recognized mountain of all mountains on the coast of China.
St. Michael’s Cathedral
Simply called “The Catholic Church” by local residents, the twin-spired Neo-Romanesque cathedral was designed by German architect Alfred Fräbel and holds the distinction of being the largest Gothic building in Qingdao, a masterpiece of Christian architecture and the only consecrated church in all of China.
Golden Sand Beach
