Getting Started

1. When can I start using my Discovery Membership?

A. You can start making reservations as soon as your Discovery Membership transmits (‘Transmission Date’). The Transmission Date for your Discovery Membership will be within 7 calendar days of the Purchase Date and you will receive correspondence from us once this occurs.

However, please note reservations may only be made where check-in dates occur after the Travel Activation Date. The Travel Activation Date will be within 7 calendar days of us receiving either:

  • the full payment amount of the Discovery Membership purchase price; or
  • if you have chosen to pay the purchase price by instalments, the date we receive the minimum amount (exclusive of any tax and processing fees) (“Threshold Amount’). The Threshold Amount is US$916.66.

2. How long do I have to use my Discovery Points?

A. Discovery Points must be used within 12 months from Travel Activation Date or else they will expire.

The Travel Activation Date will be within 7 calendar days of us receiving either:

  • the full payment amount of the Discovery Membership purchase price; or
  • if you have chosen to pay the purchase price by instalments, the date we receive the minimum amount (exclusive of any tax and processing fees) (“Threshold Amount’). The Threshold Amount is US$916.66.

3. How long is my Discovery Membership active for?

A. Your Discovery Membership remains active for 18 months from Travel Activation Date, even if you have used all of your Discovery Points on amazing holidays. However, Discovery Points must be used within 12 months from Travel Activation Date or else they will expire.

The Travel Activation Date will be within 7 calendar days of us receiving either:

  • the full payment amount of the Discovery Membership purchase price; or
  • if you have chosen to pay the purchase price by instalments, the date we receive the minimum amount (exclusive of any tax and processing fees) (“Threshold Amount’). The Threshold Amount is US$916.66.

 

Resorts

1. What resorts can I stay at with my Discovery Membership?

A. With your Discovery Membership, you are able to stay at a selection of the resorts available to CLUB WYNDHAM ASIA Members. As these resorts may change from time to time, please refer to the Resort page of this website for current destinations.

2. Why can’t I stay at all of the resorts in CLUB WYNDHAM ASIA with my Discovery Membership?

A. As a trial program, your Discovery Membership is designed to allow you to experience some of the amazing resorts, destinations and benefits that would otherwise only be available to CLUB WYNDHAM ASIA Members.  This enables you to make an informed choice about whether or not you would like to join the Club during your Discovery Membership term.  One of the benefits of a CLUB WYNDHAM ASIA Membership is access to all current and future resorts in the Club.

3. What types of apartments can I stay in with my Discovery Membership?

A. With your Discovery Membership, you may choose from a range of apartment types, including:

  • Studio or Hotel Room and 1, 2 and 3 Bedroom Apartments
  • Standard, Deluxe and Grand

4. How many people can stay in a resort apartment?

A. The number of persons, including children of any age, which may occupy a resort apartment is outlined on the individual resort page under Room Types.

Occupancy limits are strictly enforced, and may vary between resorts. Discovery Members will be advised of the relevant occupancy limit at the time of making a reservation.

5.What facilities are available at the resorts?

A. Facilities available at each resort in the Discovery Program vary from resort to resort. For more information, please refer to individual resort pages.

 

Reservations

1. How do I make Discovery reservations?

A. Easy! Simply decide where and when you’d like to holiday and then contact your Discovery Specialist Team via the phone or email to assist you with making your holiday dreams come true.

2. How far in advance can I make Discovery reservations?

A. You have a 9-month booking window to make reservations at selected resorts.

3. How do I know how many Discovery Points will be required for a reservation?

A. Each resort available in the Discovery Program is 2,000 points per night when staying three nights or more. Choose from any selected resort, any room type, any season, any time of the year!*

Should you have any problems at all, simply contact your dedicated Discovery Specialist Team and they can calculate it for you!

4. Are there any minimum night stay requirements for Discovery reservations?

A. To ensure all Discovery Members are able to get the most out of their Discovery Memberships, all reservations must be made for a minimum of three (3) nights.

5. Why can’t I get into the resorts I want on the dates I want?

A. All Discovery reservations are on a first-come, first served basis and are subject to availability. To make the most of your Discovery Membership, we encourage you to plan your holidays in advance whenever possible, particularly during peak periods such as Christmas, Easter, school and public holidays.

Take advantage of the 9-month booking window for Discovery reservations to provide more flexibility with your preferred destinations, travel dates and room options.

6. Can I make reservations or view my Discovery Membership details online?

A. Online access to account information and online reservations are not benefits of a Discovery Membership.  These are available should you decide to join CLUB WYNDHAM ASIA during the term of your Discovery Membership.

7. Can I sell or rent my Discovery reservations?

A. Confirmed Discovery reservations are not to be sold, gifted or rented to a third party and failure to comply with any conditions in the Discovery Program Guidelines may result in a reservation being cancelled and Discovery Points forfeited.

8. What happens if I don’t have enough Discovery Points left to make a reservation?

A. If you have really enjoyed your Discovery Membership and utilised nearly all of your Discovery Points to stay at the selected resorts, you may not have quite enough Discovery Points left to complete one last reservation. This is where Rental Points come in handy!

Rental Points may be purchased to complete a reservation if made in conjunction with Discovery Points and are for one-time use. For the current Rental Point rates, please contact your Discovery Specialist Team.

9. Can I use Rental Points as payment for an entire reservation?

A. Rental Points can only be used in conjunction with Discovery Points and may not be used as a standalone method of payment.

Friends & Family

1. Can I make reservations for friends and family?

A. As a trial program, the Discovery Membership is designed to allow you to personally experience resort stays at selected resorts. Unless otherwise authorised, only those persons registered on your Discovery Membership are authorised to:

  • make reservations; and
  • check-in for reservations with a reservation confirmation and suitable photo identification (e.g. driver’s licence or passport); and
  • access information regarding your Membership and reservations.

Family and friends are welcome to join you during a resort stay provided you are present at the time of check-in for all reservations and for the duration of the resort stay.

2. Can my partner make reservations on my behalf?

A. If your partner is also registered on your Discovery Membership, they most certainly can! If they are not, you will need to add them to your Discovery Membership to allow them to make reservations and enquiries regarding your Discovery Membership. Applicable fees may apply.

3. Can I add another person to my Discovery Membership?

A. You most certainly can! Simply contact your Discovery Team and they will assist you further.

Administration fees will apply when transferring, adding or removing a Member to or from your Discovery Membership after the date of sale.

Amendments & Cancellations

1. What if I need to change or cancel my Discovery reservation?

Sometimes life gets in the way and plans change. If you are not able to take the wonderful Discovery holiday you have planned, make sure you contact your dedicated Discovery Specialist Team as soon as possible so that you don’t miss out altogether.

Provided amendments and cancellations are made within the guidelines below (and further outlined in the Program Guidelines), there is no penalty to you and other Discovery Members can enjoy the space in your place.
