Billabong Zoo – Koala & Wildlife Park

At the multiple award-winning Billabong Zoo you can get up-close and personal to Australian and exotic animals. You can pat, stroke, feed, hold, hear and see over 80 species of mammals, reptiles and birds. Billabong Zoo care for over 200 animals in this friendly 10 acre Koala and Wildlife Park.

Experience one-on-one personal Encounters with some of the park’s amazing animals, including the Australia’s iconic animal, the koala. It’s a great photo or video opportunity for a lasting memory of your day at Billabong Zoo.

Bago Vineyards and Bago Maze

Explore and lose yourself within the largest hedge maze in NSW! The Bago Maze Challenge, if accepted, will be to find your way to the lookout towers, searching for hidden items and musical instruments concealed deep within the Bago Maze’s tangled pathways.

Afterwards visit the cellar door then sit back and relax with a cheese plate and a glass of wine under the pergola.

 

Flynns Beach

Conveniently located opposite Ramada Resort Flynns Beach, this beach is nestled between a pair of rocky headlands to the north and south providing visitors good protection from coastal winds.

Enjoy a picnic barbecue (BBQ) on the grassed, shaded picnic area along side the sand or order a snack or meal from The Surf Club kiosk.

Always swim between the red and yellow flag; surf lifesavers have identified this area as the safest spot to swim in the water. It’s also a good idea to always swim with a friend.

The Glasshouse Shop

The Glasshouse Shop home to exquisite glassware, handcrafted jewellery, corporate gifts or something for that extra special person in your life. Choose from individually designed ceramic objects, local produce or small homeware items.

Located in the heart of Port Macquarie, the Glasshouse is also home to a theatre, regional gallery, Ross Family Studio, Visitor Information Centre, gift shop, conference and meeting facilities, heritage displays and cafe/bar.

Port Macquarie Coastal Walk

The Port Macquarie Coastal walk takes in historic sites and stunning coastal scenery, beaches and rainforest. It can be enjoyed as a day walk or several short walks.

Start the walk at Town Beach, winding along the coast via Flagstaff, Rocky Beach lookout, Nobby’s Beach and Harry’s lookout to Sea Acres. You’ll see several historical sites along the way and enjoy stunning seaside scenery that surrounds Port Macquarie. The walk ends at Tacking Point lighthouse; however you can break it up into four shorter sections (approximate 2-3km each) if you feel like a short walk or are walking with kids. There are also many opportunities for barbecues and swimming along the way.
