Lakes Entrance Foreshore Cycling Track

This flat and easy ride is great for young children and an ideal way to get a feel for Lakes Entrance as you pass fishing trawlers going in and out to sea. Take walking shoes to include a trip over the footbridge to the ocean and the magnificent Ninety Mile Beach.

Entrance to the Lakes Walk

Cross a footbridge to towards the beach and walk around the edge of the lake through coastal bushland to historic Flagstaff Hill for views of boats crossing the bar. Go back the same way or along Ninety Mile Beach.

Lakes Entrance is renowned as a seafood capital due to the large number of fishing trawlers operating in the area. Catch your own fish or savour the catches from fresh seafood shops around town.

East Gippsland Rail Trail

Experience the diversity of East Gippsland as this trail weaves past undulating farmland, tall forests, rivers and flood plains. Cross historic timber railway bridges and enjoy views of the Gippsland Lakes before arriving at the Snowy River.
